R7RS Scheme implementation aimed to be a handy tool for daily works 

Gauche is an R7RS Scheme implementation developed to be a handy script
interpreter, which allows programmers and system administrators to write small
to large scripts for their daily chores. Quick startup, built-in system
interface, native multilingual support are some of my goals.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.

Available build options

gdbm
Use the GNU gdbm database library.
eucjp
Support EUC-JP, a character encoding for Japanese.
sjis
Support SJIS, a character encoding for Japanese.
utf8
Enable UTF-8 (iconv) character encoding support.

Known vulnerabilities

The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.

Please note the vulnerabilities database might not be fully accurate, and not every bug is exploitable with every configuration.
